The Nationals

Here we are all dressed up for the last service at the Nationals. The kids had a great time. Squirrel loved wearing her name badge. It was too long for her and more of a problem than it was worth. I guess she felt important with it on. When we left on Thursday morning, Possum told us that he really had fun at the hotel.

The kids had a little fun with Nana at the Town Center Mall in Charleston. They rode the merry-go-round and went to the candy store.

Nationals-Day 1

The last person to go to sleep last night was Possum. He was so excited. He also was complaining that he was hungry. I knew he really wasn't and that he just wanted some of the snacks I had brought along. I told him to go to sleep and in the morning we could eat downstairs in the hotel. He normally is the late sleeper at our house, but not this morning. He was the first one up. Very early!! I did as I told him I would and took him down to the lobby to get breakfast. It was like a kid in a candy store. He was so excited. There was muffins, donuts, danishes, fruit, yogurt, little boxes of cereal, biscuits, gravy, bacon, eggs, juice and milk from a machine, and you could even make your own waffle. Possum could not decide what he wanted and so he got a little of everything. I don't know if you can really tell from the picture, but he had food spread out everywhere. It didn't look like he had eaten that much, but he had sampled a lot. When Squirrel woke up I took her down as well and she filled up her plate.


We had good services today. Possum went to the preschool worship and thinks he is at Bible school for another week. Squirrel isn't old enough but would like to be. She had to sit in the services with us. She slept on Daddy's shoulders both services.


Nanna made it tonight and the kids are enjoying having her here. They had to show the hotel room off for her. They are having a ball. We have a busy week ahead of us so we had better go rest.

We're in West Virginia!

We are in Charleston, West Virginia for the National Association of Free Will Baptists. We had a very good ride today. The kids entertained themselves and were very excited to get to the hotel. Possum and Squirrel both ran for the beds so they could jump on them. This is something they only get to do in a hotel. They are having a great time playing in the room while Daddy is already snoozing. This should be an exciting week.

V.B.S.-Day 4

Another fun night at Bible School. Squirrel got to help Mommy during song time by playing music. Possum and Squirrel both made cute turtles laying in "Gulf Shores" sand. One more night of fun to go!

V.B.S.-Day 3

We had another fun night at VBS. Tonight Squirrel got to come up front and help Mommy sing a song about Jonah and as usual she enjoyed snack time. Possum hung tight with Mr. Bill and enjoyed recreation because he got to play with a water gun. We are excited about tomorrow night so we had better get to bed and rest!
