Possum's Plans for the Future

Joel had to go to Nashville today to the Bible College. Possum got to tag along. When they left the college traffic was really bad and so Joel went around the city instead of coming down 65. When you detour around the city you go past the UPS hub. While Joel was in Bible college he worked at UPS. He told Possum all about his job loading the big trucks. Possum told him to pull over and take him inside to see the big trucks. Joel explained that he couldn't because he didn't work there anymore and that was a long time ago. Possum responded that he would just have to go to Bible college so he could work there and load the big trucks.

When they got home to pick me and Squirrel up for church Possum told me "I'm going to Bible college and I'm gonna load those big trucks." I asked him if that was the only reason he was going to Bible college. He said "No. I'm gonna learn how to preach too. About Jonah. He didn't go to the city and the fish ate him. I'm gonna preach and load those big trucks."

This will all be great. He can work his way through college!!!! We won't go broke! I pray that he keeps his positive plans for the future. By the way, he does a pretty good job preaching about Jonah!

Blackberries and Wildflowers

Possum had a sweet moment yesterday evening and picked me blackberries and wildflowers. He then quickly asked if I would make a "blackaberry cobbeller". Of course I did. What mother would refuse that request after just receiving flowers? Wish everyone could have been here to enjoy the cobbler and Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla ice cream! Come visit us and we'll make a fresh cobbler just for you.

New Hair

In honor of Nene's new hairstyle Squirrel got her own new style! We were being silly during bathtime.

We're Home!

We had a death in the church and so Joel and I had to come home early this morning to do the funeral. It has all worked out and Mr. Bill and Mrs. Regina came to camp last night and took our place. We have been home long enough for Joel to get ready and leave and now me and the kids are trying to get ready to go to the church and help get the meal ready for the family.

Here are a few pictures of the kids from the week. Nana means well. She takes the camera along, but gets busy with the kids and forgets to use the camera. She did get a few of the kids with their cousins. They came in to Papa and Nana's last night so they got to spend a few hours with them before they had to leave.

The kids had a great week with the grandparents. Nana took them to the zoo for the first time. They got to see the elephants get a bath. I know they went to the park, played in the sprinklers, made birdhouses, and who knows what else.

Thank you Papa and Nana for keeping the kids so Joel and I could go to camp!
